Braisers and Claypots from Emile Henry
Emile Henry " Flame " ceramics can be used directly on the gas flame, electric or halogen hobs and in all types of ovens.
Flame a natural product, 5 yrs in the development is an easy way to cook: start on the gas, then put in the oven and serve to the table, easy to clean in the dishwasher ( I love that bit)
We now have in stock of the new wide braiser which is ideal for slow cooking meat or vegetables, very french. The claypot are also very attractive and have the distinct bowl shaped base. Try cooking some Shanghai soy duck or braised pork ribs. These new shapes inspire new interest in different cuisines

Mildura Trip
Holidays led me to Mildura this year. The town has a facinating history of explorers, settlers and farmers.
The art gallery holds many notable works and is well worth a visit.
Doing the tourist thing is a great way to see the area, especially when it is 43c outside and the bus is airconditioned. I took a "Discover Mildura" tour and our first stop was the salt lakes. This is the only company doing these tours so far as permits are neede to gain entry. The salt pans are very unstable and a foot in the wrong spot could land you up to your waist in quick sand( salt ). It was an amzing sight, the salt hills sparkling like snow and the water a pale pink against the brilliant blue sky. As a result i have rushed home and ordered the salt for the shop. It is available in 250g boxes for $9.00
